Swagbucks — the truth about it

Fill out surveys, earn a little $$$ — yes, but…

Keep the following in mind before you begin investing your time into Swagbucks

  • Some surveys will immediately disqualify you. That’s the nature of surveys. Don’t get mad, just keep on trucking.

  • Feel you’ve sincerely been treated unfairly by a survey? There’s NO way to speak to a human being being at Swagbucks. Filling out a complaint form is useless. It goes into the ether.

  • You can spend a significant amount of time diligently answering survey questions — only to find out at the very end — you’ve been disqualified. Sad, but again — complaining to Swagbucks will get you nowhere.

  • Swagbucks will rope you into downloading games on your phone in order to make more money if you achieve certain goals. Beware. Read all the ifs, ands and buts closely. If you do, you are most likely NOT going to participate.

  • You can’t just aimlessly jet-through surveys. Surveys have trick questions. Fail even one and you’ll be bounced out.

  • It will take an AWFULLY long time for you to earn any real money. May not be worth your time. You must decide that.

  • Some surveys ask VERY personal questions such as email addresses or upload copies of phone or utility bills. Decline those if that leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

  • Swagbucks has marketing alliances with many sponsors. Designed to make them money, not you.

  • Some survey companies are simply bad and try to take advantage of you.

  • Carefully read survey introductions. Some survey companies say they will delay paying points for several weeks and may require additional information for you.

  • Some surveys are simply broken. You are stuck on a particular page. Forever. Happens.

  • Be honest with Swagbucks and it will be honest with you 95% of the time. Try to game the system and you’ll fail.

  • Swagbucks is not your cheerful friend. It’s designed to take more from you than it gives to you.
